6.19.7 Take-down before release date

To signal that a release needs to be taken down before the release date has arrived, it is sufficient for the record company or distributor to send a new NewReleaseMessagefor that release, albeit, with no Deal composite. If wanted, the record company or distributor may communicate only a Deal with an EndDate set in the past.

The same approach can be used to reduce the rights before a release date. In that case, the Deal that is not to become active may simply be omitted from the new NewReleaseMessage.
