6.18 Combining UseTypes with their specialisations

It is not permitted to combine an allowed value with one of that allowed value’s specialisations when populating the UseType field (e.g. Stream and InteractiveStream) in a single deal.

It is not permitted to signal all specific sub-UseTypes of a UseType defined by DDEX (e.g. all *Stream UseTypes) in a single deal. In such cases the parent UseType shall be used.

At the same time, record companies or distributors are encouraged to only send multiple specific sub-UseTypes if really necessary. The preferred method is to use the parent UseType instead.
